Caversham Nursery Gets Outstanding Ofsted Rating
Top marks from Ofsted for Caversham Nursery School which gives children an outstanding start in life.
Children who begin their education at a Caversham nursery are “highly inquisitive and concentrate exceptionally well”.
That was just one of the glowing remarks in an Ofsted report that judged Caversham Nursery School 0-3s in Amersham Road Outstanding in all areas.
Inspectors gave the early years setting top marks for the effectiveness of the leadership and management, for the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and for the personal development, behaviour, welfare and outcomes of children in its care.
Staff were praised for their “seamless implementation” of the nursery’s policies and for using consistent routines to support children’s health and well-being.
Children were judged to make excellent progress in learning and development, thanks to dedicated staff who offer exceptional teaching and sensitive and caring emotional support.
The inspector recommended the nursery should build on current systems to evaluate the impact of staff training to adapt, develop and sharpen future professional development opportunities to maintain outstanding practice.
Jean Read, deputy head, said the nursery was delighted with Ofsted’s findings. She said: “The whole team are thrilled that that their hard work and dedication has been recognised.”
